Southern Graveyard Stroll

The Red, White & Blue. Macon, GA. 2013

Click on the above image to view Southern Graveyard Stroll, photographs taken shortly after the death of my aunt Joy, who was in every sense a good southern mother. This was the first time I visited her daughter Meagen, my close cousin, in Macon, GA. Her mother is buried in Galveston, TX. Miles away, but it didn’t matter, death still seemed closer to us than it had ever before.
