There wasn’t a sound to be heard, except the aspen leaves above rustling with the wind and the tranquil babbling of the creek through the trees. The warm Colorado sun shone down through the leaves, casting a golden fall light on the amphitheater. Everyone held their breath as Alexia descended the stone steps towards the beaming smile of her husband to be, Dustin. The two locked eyes the way they’ve done many times before, except this time they were seeing forever reflected. As they held one another’s gaze, the world around them faded away. It was just the two of them. Through contagious giggles and joy-filled tears, Alexia & Dustin proclaimed their vows amongst the natural serenity of the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater.
Alexia & Dustin’s Quaking Aspen Amphitheater wedding was so quintessentially Colorado. With the fall leaves in full bloom and the mountains gleaming in the warm sun, the day could not have been more perfect. Wandering with the wedding parties around the paths by the slopes, Alexia & Dustin’s nerves were settled as they laughed and goofed around with their friends enjoying the marvelous day of celebration. After the ceremony, we snuck off with Alexia & Dustin to explore more of Keystone. As the sun began to sink behind the mountains, it kissed Alexia & Dustin with its incandescent golden light. We adventured through the bright yellow aspens and green spruces, meandering along the crystal blue creek. On our return towards the reception, we made one last stop – Alexia & Dustin climbed onto the Keystone ski lift for a few obligatory photos for any Keystone wedding.
Alexia & Dustin, thank you so much for such a fun day documenting your Quaking Aspen Amphitheater wedding. Both of you and all of your guests were some of the most welcoming people we have ever met. And thank you for being up for adventure and trusting us to explore and play around with all of the quintessential beauty that Keystone had to offer. We wish you many fun filled years of love and adventure together!
