Meg O’Neill is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South. She received her Bachelors Degree in Art with a focus in photography. Throughout her studies, Meg became fascinated with photography’s ability to convey experience, connecting people.Along with studying photography, Meg minored in International and Global Studies with a focus on Global Capitalism in Latin America and the Caribbean. Meg has been the first to receive The Robert Bowden Shepard Jr. Award for photography two years in a row, as well as The Robert Bowden Award in the Spring of 2013.
Meg believes in photography as a form of storytelling. Not just capturing a moment in time, but having her photographs echo the emotions of her subjects throughout time.
Meg is continuing her photographic exploration of themes that connect people. She is currently a staff photographer for 303 Magazine and InsideOut Media Presents, a lead teacher and board member for Denver Pablove Shutterbugs and spends time volunteering at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. Meg, also, teaches vinyasa flow yoga at Better Buzz Yoga .
