It may not have been the knock-out that Rob was looking for when he began boxing at a local gym, but from the moment he saw Micaah, he knew he just had to step into the ring with her. Our Colorado winter engagement shoot at Sylvan Lake in Eagle was a perfect example of two lovers finding their higher purpose with one another.
A true gentleman, Rob was absolutely glowing in his fiancé’s presence. He seemed to be as awestruck by her as the first time he met her. From the start of our shoot, Rob was extremely attentive to Micaah. He did everything he could to bring his bride-to-be as much joy and comfort as possible. Even in the way they helped one another change shoes was wonderful. The bright and magnetic chemistry between them truly inspired us, along with their adventurous spirits. We did not want to stop photographing them!
Upon arrival to Sylvan Lake, we were met with a towering canary yellow crane and a perimeter-long chain link fence at what was a temporary construction site. Not to worry! We hiked around and discovered incredible nearby viewpoints from other trails. What’s more, Micaah and Rob helped us maximize our time and space, and together, we just took it up a notch. As the sun tucked behind the mountains, the sky light up with purples and corals. Sylvan Lake gave us a plethora of looks. With so many different landscapes, we found a multitude of compositions for one location!
Finally, on what boiled down to be a split decision, they ultimately completed themselves while circled around a different kind of ring. Micaah and Rob, thank you so much for letting us shoot your engagement! We absolutely cannot wait for your elopement at what is sure to be an incredibly epic experience for all of us!
